What SURFVERSE is, who it is for, where lessons run in Bali, and how booking works — plus catalog spots, Stripe, and cancellation. We do not invent ratings, prices, or beaches that are not on the site.
What can I find on SURFVERSE?
Find and book surf instructors, surf schools, surf operators and surf experiences in Bali. It is a marketplace to find and book surf instructors, surf-school style lessons, operators, and listed sessions.
Who is SURFVERSE for?
Guests 18+ looking for a coach, lesson, or filming in Bali — and the instructors and operators already on the catalog. You must be 18 or older to create an account and book.
What is SURFVERSE?
SURFVERSE is an online marketplace operated by Surfverse Inc. (United States) at surfverse.io. You can find and book surf instructors, listed surf experiences, and media operators in Bali. Unless a listing says otherwise, the session is delivered by an independent coach or operator, not by Surfverse employees.
What can I book?
On the Events map you can book group surf lessons, private surf lessons (solo or for two), surfskate, surf yoga, and surf fit when those products are listed. You can also book a listed coach from their profile, or a photographer/videographer from Operators. Camp and intensive labels may appear in older UI leftovers; they are not a separate live catalog you can enroll in here.
Where are surf lessons in Bali?
Scheduled ocean group and private lessons use Kuta or Nusa Dua for beginners, Kuta Reef for intermediate, and Uluwatu for advanced. Surfskate is at Cintalam or Amplitude. Surf yoga and Surf Fit are at Kanana Village. The exact beach for a beginner ocean slot is chosen at booking from the listed options.
Can I take a lesson in Canggu, Seminyak, or Sanur?
There is no scheduled group ocean lesson currently listed at Canggu, Seminyak, or Sanur. Guests staying there usually book the nearest listed ocean slot (often Kuta or Nusa Dua for beginners) or request a private coach lesson. Some operators film at Canggu-area and Sanur spots when those places are on their card. We do not invent a group session for an unlisted beach.
Are there instructors and lessons in Uluwatu?
Uluwatu is the listed ocean spot for advanced sessions. Beginner group lessons are not scheduled there. You can browse instructors on SURFVERSE and book an advanced session when it appears on the map, or open a coach profile to request a lesson.
How does booking work?
Create an account with your email and a one-time code, then pick a session, coach, or operator. A booking is confirmed when the workflow accepts it and, if payment is required, when Stripe records payment or a valid package credit applies. Unpaid holds can expire. Coach-profile lessons may have the session time set by the coach after payment.
How do I pay?
Prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD) unless a listing says otherwise. Card payments go through Stripe. Surfverse does not store full card numbers. Operator filming typically requires Stripe and may not use lesson package credits.
What is the cancellation policy?
Unless a listing states a different written policy we have approved: 100% refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled Bali start; 50% if you cancel at least 24 hours but less than 48 hours; no refund if you cancel less than 24 hours before start or do not attend. How many people are in a group surf lesson?
You can book one or more people onto a scheduled group event while seats remain (typical listed capacity is up to 10). The session runs with at least two paid participants; if fewer than two are paid at T-10h it is cancelled with an automatic refund. A private lesson is optional, not required, for a party of three.
Which languages do instructors teach in?
Each coach card lists teaching languages. English and Bahasa Indonesia appear on local coach cards. Coaches who teach Russian only (no English on the card) are shown when the site language is Russian. Booking language options include Russian, English, and Bahasa Indonesia when the catalog supports them for that slot.
Is there an age requirement?
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and to book through the Service.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Registration is passwordless: we email a one-time code. Use a real email, name, and contact details so we can confirm the session.
Can I buy a package of lessons?
Package credits are offered for eligible session types shown at purchase. They apply only to those types. Operator filming and some other services may require Stripe and may not be redeemable with lesson packages.
Is SURFVERSE a surf school?
SURFVERSE is the booking marketplace. Some listed instructors also run or founded a surf school (for example a coach bio may mention Surf Joint). You still book through surfverse.io. We are not a travel agency and not an insurer, and we do not operate a drop-in campus you enroll in separately from these listings.
What are operators?
Operators are photographers and videographers listed for surf sessions. Each card states shore, water, and/or drone work, languages, and the spots they can shoot. Public operator sign-up is not available. After you pay, the operator is notified; some operators are limited to a single area (for example Nusa Dua only).
Can a villa or hostel send guests?
Yes. The partner program is for villas, hostels, coworking spaces, and studios in Bali. Approved partners receive a referral link and can earn 10% of paid marketplace bookings attributed to them, subject to the partner page and payout rules.
How do I contact SURFVERSE?
Email bookings@surfverse.io. If a WhatsApp number is configured on the site, a WhatsApp link appears in the footer. Telegram, Instagram, and a public email form are not listed as live guest channels unless a link is shown.
